We are a Norwich-based catering company specialising in locally sourced and produced food. We provide catering for weddings, corporate events, light lunches, private dining at home or at a venue, parties and canapés with a huge selection of gluten free, wheat free and dairy free alternatives to suit every taste. We are equally happy to prepare food at your premises, or off-site for later delivery.

We also offer a food consultation service to help you book, cater for and run your event – whatever the size or duration.

Purple Plum are a highly-skilled team led by Purple Plum’s founder Julia Martin.  Our core team members are detailed in our “Meet the Team” section on this page. We combine many years of experience and skills from all fields of the industry. We have no standard size of event or theme and we have managed and planned events ranging from 10 to 300+ in England and abroad.

We have catered for weddings in museums, barns and private homes around the country. We work with our clients to tailor-make their own perfect menu using only the finest ingredients.

We are proud to be preferred supplier to Holkam Hall, North Norfolk and The Royal Sandringham Flower Show – one of the most recognised clients in the Norfolk catering world.

In addition to our existing Norfolk catering client base we are continually expanding our coverage to meet the demand for our services and have recently taken onboard a number of Suffolk and Cambridge catering clients.

Wedding Catering

Let us provide you with catering worthy of your wedding day. Our consultation, food and wine tastings and a constant line of contact will allow you to feel at ease with the planning of your reception, and allow you to concentrate on the finer points.

In addition to delivering an exquisite menu for you we can also provide marquee hire, venue booking, entertainment, equipment hire and much more to ensure this special day is just as you want it to be, supporting you from start to finish!

Corporate Event Catering

Purple Plum has vast experience providing event catering to the private and public sectors.  We understand the requirements of our clients to deliver high quality food and outsanding service whilst managing to their budgets. We enjoy working closely with our clients to develop catering options that are appropriate for client and the event.

We also have a strong presence with on set catering for TV and film production companies including Burning Bright Productions.

Personal Event Catering

We have successfully delivered many events over the last few years. Catering for engagement parties in gardens and stately homes to birthday parties in private houses and a couple on ocean going boats! Anything is possible with any age, size of party and location taken care of.

About Julia

Julia has over 25 years experience in the catering business and has run restaurants running front of house to managing events and cooking for weddings, dinner parties or small private functions. Food is something that I love and to be able to share that with people is fantastic.

Julia and her team did an amazing job catering for our wedding at Kimberley Hall on September 17, 2016.
